We are privileged to farm - For you and for us - It’s all so natural!
In Devon we produce a wide range of first class produce – as one of these producers we want you to experience real fresh, premium quality Devon food. Even though it’s our livelihood we do care about the way we farm and its impact on the environment. By buying locally produced Devon food, you help our business remain sustainable, but more than that you will really taste the difference.
OUR LAMB Out lambs are born on the farm, suckle their mums for an average of 6 months and are then weaned to graze our luscious Devon grass until they are finished. The carcasses are hung for a minimum of 7 days after which they placed into the careful hands of Edward who butchers them with such care and attention to ensure that you receive beautiful lamb, which you can guarantee, will delight your friends and family. We sell our lamb from August to February. Try one of our lamb recipes, which are available from the farm.
POULTRY AND EGGS
We have a wide selection of poultry – some are just pretty to look at, some lay fantastic eggs others are kept and bred for the table. Our table birds are completely free range apart from nights when they are housed to keep Mr. Fox at bay! The taste of our chickens is lovely and average weights are 3 kgs per bird. We also produce free-range ducks for the table and a limited number of bronze turkeys at Christmas time.
HOW TO ORDER If you are coming to Devon to stay with us for bed and breakfast or you want something specific, please e mail or ring us. We do like to sell all our produce fresh. Your lamb will be butchered, packaged and labelled, ready to freeze if you wish. We will deliver locally. It is best to order chickens and ducks in advance so that we can have them fresh for you.
Prices vary from month to month but we will quote you a firm price when you order.
